Plenary meeting. Russian and world soy market analytics
Points:
According to experts in the 1st quarter of 2019 the average price of soybeans is expected at 292 euro / ton. Rabobank International believes that in the 2nd quarter of next year the price of soybeans will be average 298 euro / ton. In 2019 the trade war between the United States and China will continue to stay in the spotlight on the Asian soybean market. China, the world's largest buyer of soybeans, also used to be the largest importer of soybeans from the United States. In 2017 China imported 55% of US soybean exports, which accounted for 27% of total US soybean production. However, in July 2018 China imposed a 25% tariff on American soybeans which had a serious impact on the market. Russia, Ukraine, Uruguay and Canada have become potential suppliers of soybeans for China.
