About the conference:

For the third time heads of companies leading its activities in aquaculture shere (fish farming), fish and seafood processing companies, logistics companies, retail chains, specialized institutions, research institutes and associations will meet together within this event.

Aquaculture is relatively young for the Russian fishing industry, so there are some growth difficulties: it is the legal framework that is already in need of revision, development of fish feed, the laying of logistics routes, which is important, given Russia’s vast expanses, providing fish processing plants production and delivery of its in commercial networks.

The main objective of the conference is to review the successful experience of foreign companies on the establishment and development of business. Invited speakers from Europe and Scandinavia, China, Vietnam and many others. In addition, participation in the conference will be representatives of the executive and legislative branches of the federal and regional levels to discuss the legal and regulatory aspects of the industry and new development programs for Russian regions.

С 1980 по 1990 г. возглавлял отделы в Главном Управлении «Севрыба» (г. Мурманск). С 1990 г. по 2004 г. работал директором ООО «Арктик Салмон», которое создал с нуля. Это первое в России индустриальное предприятие по выращиванию лососевых пород рыб. В процессе эксплуатации предприятия модернизировал биотехнологические процессы производства, в результате чего без наращивания мощностей, объем товарной продукции увеличился более чем в три раза. Внедрение мировых достижений в области аквакультуры лососевых рыб в практику функционирования предприятия принесло ему известность не только в России, но и за рубежом. В течение пяти лет (1996 – 2002 гг.) был членом международной организации по охране лосося NASCO со штаб-квартирой в Лондоне. Был рекомендован этой организацией для включения в действительные члены Международной Академии бизнеса и управления, академиком которой стал в 1998 г. Неоднократно участвовал в российских и международных конференциях, где выступал с докладами. Готовил проекты аквахозяйств для Белоруссии, Армении, а также для ряда российских областей. Разрабатывал перспективные программы развития аквакультуры на Севере. Был соисполнителем норвежского проекта «Гиганте Печенга». Как специалист по аквакультуре на конкурсной основе был приглашен на работу в Австралию, где проработал 3 года (2004 — 2007 гг.). С 2007 по 2011 гг. возглавлял ООО «Сумской лососево-сиговый питомник», одновременно возглавляя отдел аквакультуры на Гатчинском комбикормовом предприятии. С 2013 по 2015 гг. работал в ФГБНУ ГосНИОРХ в качестве эксперта по аквакультуре.

The composition of hydrobionts’ pathogens (viruses, bacteria, fungi, algae, helminths, etc.) in the natural environment depends largely on the geography of the reservoir, its size and flow, chemical composition of its water, the state of natural ichthyofauna, the degree of pollution, etc.Composition of pathogens of farmed fish is largely determined by the methods of cultivation: ponds, pastures, industrial farming (cages, basin flow farming, or RAS). Ms Trulias is a highly competent professional in productivity and health improvement of aquacultural species. She’s been involved in research and practical activity in this field for over 9 years now. Ms Trulias has graduated from veterinary faculty of UAB Barcelona in 2009 and has received her master degree in aquaculture at Barcelona University. In 2016 she passed her PhD defense in animal breeding (majoring in Fish Feeding) at UAB Barcelona. Her thesis was devoted to the use of waste and re-etherified industrial oils in fish feeds. During her PhD studies she’s implemented an eight-month long research in Fish Feeding research group at Deakin University, Australia. There she also used to work on different directions in providing salmon and trout feeds with omega 3 fatty acids. Later she got a postdoctoral fellow position at Chulalongkorn Unversity and moved to Bangkok, Thailand where during 2016-2018 she had been conducting a prebiotic and probiotic research for red tilapia fish. Since 2017 she’s been working as a manager for aquaculture products- formerly at a Spanish animal feeds company and presently at Tanin d.d. Sevnica, Slovenia which is a world leader of ellagotannins production for agricultural animals, fish and poultry feeding.

	Points: In the structure of fish production in industrial fish farming, the cost of feed and feeding process is up to 70%, and in pond farms it is 50-70%. In the ponds, 70–80% of production is due to feeding, and in farms of the industrial type it is almost 100%. Therefore, in the global industry, much attention is paid to the quality of fish feed. Many foreign research teams work to develop feed formulations. Their important practical task is to create new formulations for starter and production feed compound, and, accordingly, new methods to feed fish in ponds and industrial fish farms. Dr. J.E. van Eys is the principal of a US-based consulting company in Animal Nutrition (Global Animal Nutrition Solutions – GANS – Inc. The company concentrates on international consulting to companies and associations world –wide. J. van Eys is based in France but works world-wide. His personal areas of expertise are research and product development in animal nutrition (notably in the area of ruminant nutrition), quality control as it relates to feed and food production, and the production and marketing of animal feeds or feed ingredients. Dr. van Eys has been active in various capacities in international animal nutrition for more than 40 years; much of this time in the international feed business. Following his undergraduate studies in Agronomy in the Netherlands he completed a M.Sc. in Rangeland Nutrition at the New Mexico State University and a Ph.D. in Ruminant Nutrition from West Virginia University (USA). Between his BSc and graduate work he worked five years in Bolivia and Somalia on Government and FAO development projects. After completion of his graduate studies he worked as an Assistant Professor in Ruminant Nutrition for North Carolina State University. In this capacity he collaborated with USAID on international ruminant research projects in Indonesia, Morocco and Brazil. He joined Ralston Purina International in 1986 holding research and technical positions in Portugal and France. Within this company he held the position of European Research Director and upon the creation of Agribrands International he became Vice President for Research and Development based in St. Louis, MO. He left the company in 2001 to establish GANS Inc. He currently works with a wide range of companies covering all aspects of the feed and livestock industry. During his career, Dr. van Eys has served on an important number of scientific commissions and study groups in the EU as well as the USA. In 1987 completed post-graduate studies at the Livestock Feeding Department of Odessa State Agrarian University and passed Ph.D. defense with the thesis subject “Soymilk as a milk replacer in calves feed” in Leningrad State Agrarian University. The next step of the scientific research is dedicated to biotechnology in animal feeds and feed supplements. In particular, developed some new technological approaches to creating a supplement, which is based on fodder and by applying biotechnological methods, enriched with vitamins, proteins and organic acids at the stage of germination. Developed a theory of creating complete malt animal feed.
