Currently, world aquaculture products provide more than 45% of consumed fish and seafood. According to the report of the research company Technavio, steady growth is observed in the global aquaculture market, which will show 4.46% increase by 2022 according to expert opinion. Unfortunately, Russia is not yet among the industry leaders, however properly taking the opportunities existing in the country we can achieve world class standards of this fisheries sector

11.50-13.10 | Session 2. Diseases of fish in aquaculture
| Points:
In aquaculture, diagnosis, prevention and elimination of fish, shellfish and algae diseases are the main task of epizootic monitoring carried out by veterinary and ichthyopathological laboratories.
The composition of hydrobionts’ pathogens (viruses, bacteria, fungi, algae, helminths, etc.) in the natural environment depends largely on the geography of the reservoir, its size and flow, chemical composition of its water, the state of natural ichthyofauna, the degree of pollution, etc.Composition of pathogens of farmed fish is largely determined by the methods of cultivation: ponds, pastures, industrial farming (cages, basin flow farming, or RAS). Knowledge of the hydrobionts’ pathogenesis features in various forms of their cultivation makes it possible not only to successfully control the epizootic state of aquaculture objects, but also to predict the risk of diseases.
Topics:
- The main causes of diseases. Quality control of planting material, feed, environmental conditions.
- The most common fish diseases in aquatic farms.
- Causes of diseases of cultivated objects.
- Modern methods and ways of preventive measures to combat diseases of fish, shellfish and algae in aquatic farms.

14.10-15.10 | Session 3. Technical support of aquaculture development. Current and future opportunities of Russian industry
| Points:
Modern technologies used in aquaculture provide for the use of an appropriate set of special equipment currently including about 2000 items according to world practice.

16.10-17:30 | Session 4. Scientific support of aquaculture development. Scientific support of aquaculture units’ activities.
| Points:
Successful development of aquaculture is largely determined by effective scientific support of the enterprises growing fish and other hydrobionts. The diversity of climatic conditions and the presence of various types of fishery water bodies in the country determine the need for scientific approach to adaptation of standard methods for hydrobionts’ cultivation and development of new technologies. This takes into account the peculiarities of the regional fishery water bodies, social and economic state and resource base of the region, as well as other factors determining aquaculture production.
